How to think about this comparison

Gaviti builds a broad accounts receivable platform — dunning workflows, dispute management, customer portals, and a lot of dashboards — aimed at finance teams that have a controller and at least one dedicated AR person. The pricing and onboarding reflect that: it is a considered purchase, not an OAuth handshake. Syntharra sits one step down-market. If you already run QuickBooks Online, do not have a dedicated AR staff, and would trade configuration breadth for a single reliable phone-call layer, Syntharra is the faster fit. If you need full dunning orchestration across multiple billing systems and a customer portal, Gaviti is honestly the better choice. We do not pretend to replace their platform; we replace the phone calls that nobody is making.

When Gaviti is the better choice

Syntharra is not a replacement for a full AR platform like Gaviti. It is the phone-call layer most small QuickBooks shops never built. If you already have a controller and want dunning orchestration, buy Gaviti. If you just need the calls made, start with Syntharra.

This is Syntharra's own first-party positioning, not a third-party endorsement. We publish it here so the trade-offs stay explicit.

Questions shops ask when picking between us and Gaviti

Is Syntharra a drop-in replacement for Gaviti?

No, and we do not try to be. Gaviti is a full AR platform with dunning workflows, customer portals, and multi-ERP support. Syntharra is narrower: we make the phone calls on past-due invoices and deposit payments into your Stripe account. Most Gaviti customers are too large for us, and most of our customers have never seriously considered Gaviti.

Can I run both at the same time?

Yes. Some teams keep Gaviti for email dunning and customer portals, and layer Syntharra underneath as the phone-call step that Gaviti does not cover. We do not write back to QuickBooks, so there is no conflict on the ledger side. Just make sure your dunning rules do not email a customer while Syntharra is actively on a call with them.

Why does Syntharra not charge a monthly subscription?

Because we do not want to charge shops that are not collecting anything. Our 10% success fee means we earn only on what we actually recover, and the monthly minimum is zero. That aligns our incentives with yours and keeps the downside capped if the product does not move the needle for a given book of invoices.

Does Gaviti have voice calls?

Not that we are aware of — their product focuses on email dunning, workflow automation, dispute handling, and customer portals. If that changes, we will update this page. In any case, AI-voice calling is a very specific compliance surface and we think it is better to have a focused compliance layer than to bolt voice onto a broader platform.

Which is more expensive in practice?

It depends on your recovery volume. Gaviti is a fixed annual cost; Syntharra is variable at 10% of what we actually recover. If you have a small AR book and sporadic past-dues, Syntharra is cheaper by a wide margin. If you recover hundreds of thousands of dollars a month, a fixed subscription can be cheaper past a certain threshold. The calculator at /calculator gives an honest estimate.

Can Syntharra handle the complex workflows Gaviti supports?

No. If your AR process has complex promise-to-pay trees, multi-entity billing, or sophisticated dispute routing, you are outside our comfort zone and Gaviti is a better choice. We are deliberately narrow: call the debtor inside a compliance-safe window, take a card or send a pay link, escalate to a human after three attempts.
